Location: Fareham, Hampshire

Salary: £16.00 - £17.00 per hour (Setter/Operator) | Up to £19.00 per hour (Programmer/Setter/Operator)

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:30 | Friday: 07:00 - 11:00 Early Finish Every Friday

CNC Turner - Setter Operator / Programmer Required

A well-established precision engineering company based in Fareham is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join its growing manufacturing team. Producing high-quality precision-machined components for a range of demanding industries including aerospace, marine, construction, and medical equipment, this is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and respected engineering environment. The company is keen to speak with both experienced Setter/Operators and those with additional Fanuc programming experience, with higher rates available for programmers.

The Role

As a CNC Turner, your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls
• Programming CNC machines (where applicable)
• Working from engineering drawings and specifications
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances
• Carrying out in-process inspections using measuring equipment
• Maintaining high quality and production standards
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop

Candidate Requirements

CNC Turner - Setter Operator

• Previous CNC turning experience
• Experience setting and operating CNC lathes
• Good knowledge of Fanuc controls
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards

CNC Turner - Programmer / Setter Operator

In addition to the above:

• Proven experience programming CNC lathes using Fanuc controls
• Ability to create, edit, and optimise programs
• Confidence setting up new jobs and improving cycle times
• Strong understanding of tooling and machining processes
