Product Manager - Shoptet Pokladna <<<TITLE>>>
Shoptet is one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the region. We help companies and individuals easily start and grow their businesses online. We offer endless possibilities for e-shops – from renting to payment services and connecting with professionals in the field.
Shoptet Pokladna is our POS system for brick-and-mortar stores, which we are intensively developing. It is a strategic project with a long-term vision and plans. We launched the new version in May 2026; more than a thousand merchants are running on it, and it is included in Shoptet tariffs. Now the time has come to turn it into a product that merchants will be happy to pay extra for.
And that is exactly what we are looking for a product manager for. Not just for backlog management, but for the discovery of new needs and the delivery of features that have such value for merchants that they want to pay for them. In Pokladna, we don't have a roadmap carved in stone. Opportunities arise that we want to react to (e.g., EET, new technologies, or international expansion). Adaptability and the ability to orient yourself quickly are key in this role.
Why it is interesting right now From 2027, mandatory electronic sales recording returns. Tens of thousands of merchants will be choosing a cash register – and we will be ready for it.
Pokladna currently only has a basic feature set. Your playground will be functional development, including the first paid tariffs.
You have a compact, well-coordinated team: 5 developers, a UX designer, and a colleague David, who handles the business and project side. A short decision-making path, no layers of approval.
Pokladna is expanding to Slovakia and wants to go even further. You are not building a feature; you are building a product with an international outlook.
What will be your job description? Developing Pokladna features including paid tariffs – what will be in them, what is worth charging for.
Continuous discovery: Directly collecting and evaluating the needs of retail merchants, digging into data, monitoring the competition. And from all of that, extracting opportunities and transforming them into development tasks (scrum) or tests within the product trio.
Prioritizing: Deciding what will be done and what won't – and being able to justify it. We expect an opinion from you, not the execution of an already finished backlog. But you won't be starting from zero; the team has a wealth of feedback and ideas.
In addition to UX and development, closely collaborating with project manager David on the further direction of the product according to client needs and Shoptet strategy. Vision, product strategy, roadmap, or quarterly goals will be your regular discussions.
Launching new features together with marketing, sales, and customer care. And measuring how it works. Build, measure, learn.
You will report to Product Lead Petr, who will help you in your further development.
Development of payment services in Pokladna (Shoptet Pay, Tap to Pay), where we sense great potential.
What do we expect from you? You have advanced experience (3+ years) as a product manager in SaaS, e-commerce, or another B2B product. We are not looking for a super-senior or a complete junior. Your experience is in both discovery and delivery – you found a problem, verified it, and pushed the solution into production. You take "Data over opinion" as a matter of course.
You know how to say no and explain why. You will have many stakeholders; you know how to negotiate.
English at least at B2 level – you need to work with tools, read documentation, and communicate reasonably during international expansion.
You have AI tools realistically in your product workflow, not just tried out.
You enjoy fast interaction in a team – we solve things on the go, things change during the day, and you'd rather talk immediately about how to solve a problem than wait or analyze for a long time.
This will be a great advantage for you Experience with retail and personal sales – you understand the operation of a brick-and-mortar store.
Knowledge of cash register/POS solutions (Sales environment, peripherals, payment terminals, documents, warehouses, records).
Payments or fintech experience.
You have been involved in product monetization – tariffs, conversions from free to paid, pricing.
Experience with tools: Jira, Asana, Amplitude, PowerBI, Metabase.
What we offer? 5 weeks of vacation, 4 extra free days for anything, and wage top-ups during sick leave or care for loved ones up to 100%.
Contribution to Multisportka, meal allowance, and a reward for recommending a new colleague.
Discounted Shoptet tariff for your own e-shop.
Budget for your own education, English courses, and the internal education system "Produktová Akademie".
A computer of your choice (Mac or Win).
