Product Manager for Mobile Application & Design System
About the company
E-shop operations don't just happen at a computer. In addition to web administration, thousands of e-shop owners also use a mobile application, which allows them to manage orders, shipments, and their products directly from their phones, wherever they are. And to ensure that all parts of Shoptet (e-shops, Pokladna, and the mobile application) look and function as a single product, we take care of our own Design System: component libraries for web and mobile, design tokens, and Figma libraries, which are used by dozens of product teams.
Who you will work with
- Mobile application team: a product trio (which includes a techlead and a shared UX/UI designer in addition to you), the rest of the developer team, and a tester.
- Design System team: techlead, frontend developers, and designers.
- Designers across the company, product colleagues, Data team, marketing, support, and Legal.

Your tasks
- Mobile application (approx. ⅔ focus): The customer is the e-shop owner; you have your own team, roadmap, releases to App Store and Google Play, and usage data.
- Design System (approx. ⅓ focus): An internal platform product where the customers are Shoptet's product teams; your focus is primarily on prioritizing this team's work.
These are, therefore, two different products with different customers, different paces, and different definitions of success. Being able to switch between contexts is a necessity here, but it doesn't mean you'll be juggling all day.
What your week might look like During the week, you will regularly meet with the mobile application and design system teams to plan work, resolve priorities, and manage development progress. Additionally, you will manage the roadmap, prepare requirements for developers, consult designs with designers, and collaborate with other teams across the company. You will monitor product data, evaluate results, collect feedback, and talk to customers. With marketing, you will handle how to get news to customers and colleagues, and you will continuously report results to management. On Fridays, you will meet with other product people to share experiences and discuss common topics. Your week will therefore be a mix of planning, coordination, communication, and searching for new opportunities to push our products forward.
Mobile application
- Maintain the vision and roadmap of the application: what will make it a tool that a merchant won't want to work without, and what, conversely, does not belong in it.
- Continuous product discovery and prioritization: talk to e-shop owners, analyze feedback from support and the app, dive into usage data, and use all of this within the product trio to create development tasks (scrum). Prioritize based on business impact.
- Decide on release scope and follow through until the stores, including communication with marketing and evaluating whether it worked.
- Prioritize and coordinate product teams' requirements for components in the roadmap and sprints, clearly explaining why something goes first or later.
- Support the adoption of the Design System, and work within the trio to decide the strategy for further development.
- Coordinate communication of changes that impact customers with marketing and other colleagues in the company.
Requirements
We are looking for a Product Manager with a UX focus, who will take over both of these worlds:
What can't you do without? You don't need to have everything checked off, but this is the core:
- 3+ years as a product manager in SaaS, e-commerce, or a B2B product. You have gone through the entire cycle: you found a problem, verified it, pushed the solution into production, and measured the result. Or longer experience in UX with shorter experience in product management.
- Design thinking in practice, not just on your CV. You can critically assess a design, you know what good usability is, and you know how to verify it with users. Figma is not an unfamiliar environment for you. In the mobile application team, we share a designer with another team, and it would occasionally be useful if you could prepare some simple designs yourself using the design system.
- You understand what a design system is and why it makes sense that it exists.
- You can say "no" to internal teams and management and explain why. There are plenty of stakeholders.
- You can handle multiple contexts at once, you know how to switch when necessary, and you can manage your time.
- English at least at B2 level. Documentation, tools, and part of the communication are in English.
- You actually have AI tools in your workflow, not just tried them out.
This will be a great advantage, but is not a necessity
- Experience with mobile applications and releases to stores, including analytics.
- Experience with an internal product where the customers are other teams.
- Practical experience from a UX/UI role.
- Technical literacy: you understand what a component, design token, or React Native is, and you can communicate with developers without an interpreter.
- Your own prototypes or "vibe-coded" applications. Show them to us.
What we offer
Why it's interesting right now
- The application is ceasing to be a "mini-admin". We have a series of releases behind us (shipment management, Caller ID, order picking using barcode scanning, and more) and now we are looking at what will make the application a daily work tool for the e-shop owner: a warehouse in your pocket, smarter notifications, a tool for daily operations.
- The Design System is growing in importance. New e-shop templates, the transition of administration to React, and fulfilling the new vision of administration bring further requirements for its development, unification of the user environment, and ensuring consistency across products.
- AI is a daily tool in both teams. We generate components from Figma, create Jira issues with Claude, which is the right hand of both developers and product people. We are looking for someone who knows where AI saves days of work and what is just AI slop.
What we offer?
- Two established teams. You aren't starting from scratch: both teams have active sprints, a backlog, and passionate people who will be happy to pass on the context.
- AI as part of daily work. We work with Claude connected to our tools (Asana, Figma, Metabase, Slack, Jira/Confluence, and others) and we also have ChatGPT / Codex available. With AI, we analyze data and feedback, prototype, and automate routine tasks. The internal AI team constantly develops tooling and can also help you bring ideas to fruition. In the Design System, we go even further: we build components, rules, and UX patterns so that both developers and AI agents can work with them.
- 5 weeks of vacation, 4 extra free days for anything, and salary top-ups during sick leave or care for loved ones up to 100%.
- Contribution to Multisportka, meal allowance, and a reward for recommending a new colleague.
- Discounted Shoptet tariff for your own e-shop.
- Budget for your own education, English courses, and the internal education system "Product Academy".
- A computer of your choice (Mac or Win) and a favorable mobile tariff for you and your loved ones.
- We truly care about the mental health of our employees and offer the possibility to use 6 therapy sessions per year.
- Offices in Holešovice, bike-friendly facilities, a large supply of coffee from Nordbeans, fruit, vegetables, and other healthy snacks.
- We have great community events - team dinners, birthdays, company beers, or teambuildings.
