*Job Overview* We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dog Groomer to join our team. This position is part time to start with the opportunity of full time employment. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. This role involves working in a fast paced team environment , while maintaining a safe and friendly atmosphere. Hands on experience in dog grooming and customer service skills are highly valued and required for this position.
*Duties*
- Bathing, drying, and brushing pets to prepare them for grooming
- Shaving, scissoring and applying appropriate grooming styles based on breed standards or owner requests
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary grooming area, including sterilizing tools and equipment
- Providing excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and preferences
- Handling pets safely during grooming procedures, including managing heavy or anxious animals with care
- Assisting with customer payments, scheduling appointments and managing client records
- Ensuring the safety and comfort of pets throughout the grooming process
*Qualifications*
- Prior experience in dog grooming is required; training can be provided for the right candidate to advance skill level
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Reliability & flexibility with working hours
- Ability to handle dogs safely with confidence that may be heavy or difficult to manage
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their well-being
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
