Shepherd?s Fashions is looking for an *experienced Visual Merchandiser* to help maintain and continually elevate the presentation of our Ottawa Train Yards store.

For this position, *previous visual merchandising experience is essential*.

We?re looking for someone who already understands the fundamentals of strong retail merchandising. This is a hands-on role. You won't just be designing displays. You'll be moving fixtures, carrying product, climbing ladders, dressing mannequins, reorganizing racks, steaming clothing, tidying and continually maintaining the store.

*Your responsibilities will include:*

• Creating and maintaining visual merchandising throughout the store
• Refreshing areas regularly so the store continues to feel current
• Moving racks, fixtures, mannequins, boxes and merchandise
• Steaming, hanging, folding and preparing merchandise for display
• Tidying and maintaining the overall presentation of the store

This isn't a role where you merchandise an area and walk away. Maintenance is part of merchandising.

*We're Looking for Experience*

We're looking for someone who has previously worked in visual merchandising and understands how to create a strong retail environment.

However, practical retail merchandising experience is most important to us. We want someone who can walk into a space, understand what isn't working and know how to improve it.

*This Is a Physical Job*

You will spend your shift on your feet and may regularly be:

• Lifting and carrying boxes and merchandise
• Moving racks and fixtures
• Moving and dressing mannequins
• Climbing ladders or step stools
• Reaching, bending and crouching
• Steaming clothing
• Unpacking merchandise

This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule.

Retail merchandising doesn't always happen between 9 and 5. Depending on what is happening in the store, shifts may include:

• Weekdays
• Weekends
• Early mornings
• Evenings
• Occasional work before or after regular store hours
