Accountant

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and accounting documentation. Prepare periodic financial statements, management reports, and financial summaries. Monitor company income, expenses, payments, and cash flow. Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations. Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and cost-control activities. Support payroll processing and statutory deductions where required. Assist with tax preparation, filing, and other statutory compliance requirements. Monitor accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely settlements. Provide financial information and analysis to support management decision-making. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in accounting or finance. HND in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline. Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent is an added advantage. Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Strong analytical, numerical, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an added advantage.
