Caretaker

We urgently require a Caretaker to provide a flexible, responsive and high-quality caretaking service across designated estates. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining estates to a high standard, including cleaning and general upkeep, while supporting the wellbeing and needs of residents in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and service standards.

The Caretaker will work collaboratively within the wider caretaking team and fully participate in cover arrangements to ensure continuity and appropriate access to services for residents. This will include providing mutual support with priority and seasonal tasks, responding to incidents such as racist or offensive graffiti, and assisting with emergency situations when required.

The Caretaker will monitor contractors working on-site, undertake quality-control checks and promptly report any deficiencies, poor workmanship or failures in the services provided.

The post holder will maintain a professional, prompt, courteous and helpful approach when dealing with residents, their representatives, contractors, external agencies and other service users, as well as when proactively initiating contact to address estate-related matters.

DBS Requirement:

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
