- Purpose of the Role
Responsible for the delivery and improvement of internal software applications (C#, JavaScript & VBscript), including integration mainly with Microsoft and Oracle database platforms. Performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the software development life cycle.
- Scope and Responsibilities
Codes, tests, and documents new systems or improvements to existing systems and prepares the corresponding documentation. Applies software engineering principles to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of computer software. Executes the full software development life cycle (SDLC). Develops flowcharts, designs, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions. Writes well-designed and testable code. Provides implementation and post-implementation support for business software solutions through programming and/or configuring improvements to new or package-based systems. Produces specifications and determines operational feasibility. Integrates software components into a fully functional system. Develops software verification plans and quality assurance procedures. Tests data and performs system testing. Performs quality assurance on applicable functionality. Documents and maintains software functionality. Troubleshoots, debugs, and updates existing systems. Collects and documents user feedback. Supports user training on application operating procedures. Complies with project plans and industry standards. Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures. Performs other assigned duties. May assume a team leader role for the working group and may lead projects.
- Candidate Profile
Required Education and Experience: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline 4-7 years of related experience Understanding and experience in creating application designs and components to support stable PCB designs 1+ years of experience with web technologies (including HTML, JavaScript, CSS) 1+ years of experience with design, maintenance, and development with SQL / relational databases 1+ years of experience building web applications, back-end services, and APIs in ASP.NET or NodeJS Experience in at least one compiled language (Java, C, C#, etc.) Experience in at least one interpreted language (JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, etc.) Understanding of software engineering principles, frameworks, and technologies Experience in data warehousing Or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in predictive analytics (Preferred) Experience creating automated scripts and software (Preferred) Previous experience directly collecting and analyzing end-user requirements is an advantage (Preferred) Licenses and Certifications: The following are considered preferred certifications: IT Architect Certification. The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF). Certified Technical Architect (CTA). Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD). Certified Application Developer. Oracle Application Express Developer Certified Expert (Oracle APEX). Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
