Your tasks

At SGS, we are looking for a Sustainability Manager with a strategic vision, commercial orientation, and the ability to lead the growth of our sustainability business line in Colombia, Central America, and the Caribbean.

This position will face the challenge of identifying new market opportunities, developing innovative sustainability consulting solutions, and strengthening our regional positioning, combining commercial development with the operational, financial, and technical management of the business.

• Lead the growth strategy and development of the sustainability services portfolio in Colombia, Central America, and the Caribbean.
• Identify business opportunities, develop new services, and generate strategic alliances with clients, companies, and organizations.
• Drive sustainability consulting solutions, including circular economy, waste management, carbon footprint, environmental strategies, and sustainable construction, among others.
• Comprehensively manage the financial results of the business line, ensuring compliance with budgets, profitability, and growth objectives.
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary technical teams, promoting innovation, operational excellence, and compliance with quality standards.
• Direct the execution of projects and services, guaranteeing client satisfaction and resource optimization.
• Develop strategic commercial relationships and actively participate in the identification, negotiation, and closing of new opportunities.
• Identify market trends and needs to design sustainability solutions with regional expansion potential.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, technical procedures, and standards applicable to the portfolio services.

Requirements

• Professional in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related fields, with a specialization or master's degree in environmental sustainability or related areas.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in sustainability, environmental consulting, or related areas, with a track record in project management, business development, or service leadership.
• Experience in strategic consulting and the development of sustainability solutions for corporate clients.
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, budgets, and financial results.
• Demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities, develop new services, and manage relationships with strategic clients.
• Knowledge of sustainability trends and solutions, such as circular economy, decarbonization, waste management, carbon footprint, or sustainable construction.
• Technical English.
