Metrology and Quality Officer (M/F)

Reporting directly to the Site Operations Director, the Metrology and Quality Officer is responsible for the deployment of the Quality and Metrology Policy within SGS France Division Connectivity & Products. METROLOGY Main activity of the position: As a true metrology expert, you ensure the reliability, compliance, and traceability of the measurement tools used to guarantee the quality and relevance of test results. You manage the equipment fleet, plan calibrations and verifications, analyze certificates, and handle any metrological drifts or non-conformities. Your main responsibilities Metrology – main activity of the position Lead and manage the laboratory's measurement and testing equipment fleet. Define and monitor calibration, verification, and periodic control programs for the equipment. Plan and perform internal metrological operations. Plan and monitor external service providers. Control and analyze calibration certificates and verify their compliance with applicable requirements. Guarantee metrological traceability and update the status of the equipment. Identify equipment presenting an anomaly, drift, or non-conformity. Participate in analyzing the impact of a metrological anomaly on test results. Define or evolve control and calibration methods and, depending on the level of expertise, contribute to the calculation of measurement uncertainties. Ensure the management and updating of metrological documentation: procedures, control sheets, certificates, records… Contribute to the rationalization and optimization of the equipment fleet. Monitor metrology-related indicators and propose improvement actions. Raise awareness and support laboratory teams regarding good metrological practices and measurement quality. Quality – in support of the metrology activity You contribute to maintaining the laboratory's quality management system and its compliance with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. In this capacity, you: Participate in internal audits, client audits, and accreditation audits, notably COFRAC. Contribute to the identification and processing of non-conformities and the follow-up of corrective actions. Participate in the updating of procedures, operating modes, and quality documents. Monitor quality indicators and contribute to continuous improvement processes. Ensure control of the traceability of measurements and technical data. Participate in regulatory and standards monitoring applicable to the laboratory's activities.

With a degree from Bac+2 to Bac+5 in metrology, physical measurements, instrumentation, engineering sciences, quality, or a scientific/technical field, you ideally have an initial experience of 2 to 5 years in metrology, testing laboratories, or an industrial environment. Proficiency in English is indispensable.
