Job Title: Junior Trading Operations Analyst

Location: Uruguay Modality: Hybrid, according to the Uruguay Zona Franca regime (3 days in-person per week) Schedule: 8:00 to 17:00 hs

About the Position

We are looking for a Junior Trading Operations Analyst to join our client's team, a major company specialized in the distribution, import, and export of raw materials and industrial ingredients.

The position will provide comprehensive support to import and export operations, managing orders, documentation, shipments, payments, and coordination with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

We are looking for an executive, organized, and detail-oriented person, capable of anticipating operational needs and following up on multiple processes simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Register and update new products in CARD and in the control spreadsheet.
• Manage purchase and sales orders in the system.
• Follow up on credit release and send proformas to customers.
• Coordinate with suppliers the sending of PO/BOT and review and approve proformas and BL drafts.
• Track orders and shipments from departure to arrival, with daily updates in the TF.
• Review shipping documentation and coordinate payments for freight, insurance, and other related concepts.
• Send SWIFT messages and export documents, and invoice shipped processes.
• Send and archive physical and digital documents.
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers requirements linked to import licenses and certificates of origin (COO).
• Follow up on bookings and vessels on shipping lines' websites.
• Act as a focal point for customs and legal matters for the Peru team.
• Participate in meetings and client visits together with the trader.
• Open and follow up on calls related to RNC, DN/CN, and billing cancellations.

Requirements

• Experience in import and export operations.
• Knowledge of Uruguayan legislation and experience working with customs brokers and/or freight forwarders.
• Proficiency in office tools.
• Intermediate English and basic Portuguese.
• Strong communication skills with suppliers and internal and external customers, even in other languages.
