Duties & Responsibilities

Boat navigation

Maintain and upkeep the condition of the vessel under your charge

Maintain government-issued certifications as required

Lower and man lifeboats when emergencies occur

Stand by wheels when ships are on automatic pilot and verify accuracy of courses using magnetic compasses

Steer ships under the direction of commanders or navigation officers or direct helmsmen to steer, following designated courses

Take instructions from Management (and Client) and to inform office of any problems arising during daily operations

Any other responsibilities as instructed by the Management

Able to do shift work

Requirement

MPA Helmsman /Steersman (Port Limit) / MPA SR license or equivalent

Pass an approved eyesight test

Must have at least 1year launch boat experience

Able to work long hours
