Tasks:

  • Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for crop growth and development.
  • Develop specific plans to prioritize.
  • Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots.
  • Organize tasks to accomplish the work.
  • Oversee the activities of clearing the fields.
  • Oversee the process of hoeing crops.
  • Maintain financial and production records.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
  • Maintain quality control and production records.
  • Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
  • Maintain work records and logs.
  • Hire and train staff.
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • Perform general farm duties.
