Strategic Purchasing Leader

OBJECTIVE

At Grupo Sesajal, we are looking for a Strategic Projects Buyer who will be responsible for designing and executing procurement strategies for equipment, machinery, and services related to the construction and commissioning of an avocado oil refining plant and similar products. This role requires strategic vision, advanced negotiation, and global supplier management, ensuring the optimization of costs, quality, and timelines.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned indirect categories.
• Manage OBS purchases, mainly MRO, spare parts, maintenance, industrial services, installations, and facilities.
• Analyze spend and identify opportunities for consolidation, negotiation, and cost optimization.
• Lead RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, from supplier search to negotiation and award.
• Design and execute negotiation strategies considering price, payment terms, service, quality, warranties, delivery times, and risk.
• Generate and follow up on Cost Savings and Cost Avoidance initiatives.
• Identify, evaluate, standardize, and develop suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements with strategic suppliers.
• Participate in CAPEX projects related to machinery, equipment, installations, and infrastructure.
• Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Projects, and Finance to address requirements and develop purchasing strategies.
• Follow up on spend, savings, and supplier performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with Purchasing policies and procedures.

Purchases related to CAPEX and OPEX projects.

• Acquisition of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Infrastructure, installations, or expansion projects.
• Category Management and Spend Analysis.
• TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis.
• Negotiation and contract administration.
• Power BI.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Administration, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Strategic Sourcing.
• Indispensable experience in direct and indirect purchasing within manufacturing companies or production plants.
• Experience in categories such as MRO, maintenance, industrial services, installations, and/or facilities.
• Experience conducting tenders, RFQ/RFP, and negotiations with suppliers.
• Experience in generating and following up on Cost Savings and/or Cost Avoidance.
• Proficiency in SAP or equivalent ERP.
• Advanced Excel.
• Advanced English.

On-site - in Guadalajara Zone

Base salary + benefits above the law.
