Your tasks
Mission Lead the purchasing, sourcing, and foreign trade processes through negotiation with national and international suppliers, material planning, and customs management, guaranteeing the timely availability of supplies, cost optimization, and compliance with current regulations.
- Plan and coordinate the purchase and sourcing of materials according to production requirements and demand projections.
- Manage foreign trade operations, ensuring compliance with customs legislation and import and export procedures.
- Administer and monitor Plan Vallejo operations, verifying compliance with applicable commitments and requirements.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery times, and negotiation terms with national and international suppliers according to Incoterms 2020.
- Coordinate material planning through MRP tools and S&OP processes, aligning purchasing needs with production capacity and scheduling.
- Evaluate, select, and monitor supplier performance, considering criteria of quality, cost, timeliness, and compliance with ISO 13485 requirements when applicable.
- Control costs, delivery times, and purchasing and sourcing indicators, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the purchasing and sourcing team, coordinating activities and promoting process efficiency.
Requirements
With a minimum of five (5) years of work experience in purchasing, sourcing, and international trade in manufacturing companies, of which two (2) years must have been leading teams.
Knowledge
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis)
- ERP with purchasing, inventory, and MRP modules
- Power BI or a similar tool for indicators
- English B2 or higher (negotiation with international suppliers)
- Foreign trade platforms: MUISCA (DIAN) and VUCE
- Certification in Incoterms 2020 or APICS CPIM (desirable).
- Foreign trade and customs legislation.
- Plan Vallejo.
- Exchange rate regime.
- Production and material planning (MRP / S&OP).
- Desirable, knowledge of ISO 9001.
