Agri-food Buyer M/F

Reporting to the Food & Supply Chain Director, the Agri-food Buyer is in charge of a portfolio of suppliers. They implement the strategy defined by the Purchasing Department in terms of supplier selection, negotiation (cost, quality, and lead time objectives) through to procurement.

As such, your main missions are:

Identify potential suppliers, evaluate their credibility and their ability to meet various needs.

Analyze internal needs, market developments within their portfolio, and evaluate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) in order to propose an appropriate forecast budget.

Participate in drafting technical and functional specifications with internal clients and prescribers.

Implement the company's purchasing process and conduct priority sourcing actions in line with the defined orientations.

Prepare and conduct negotiations with shortlisted suppliers in view of the targeted objectives and define the negotiation terms.

Analyze purchasing costs, search for savings opportunities, and ensure compliance with established budgets.

Supervise compliance with delivery deadlines negotiated with suppliers and follow up on disputes to contribute to their resolution.

Participate in the animation and coordination of the team's activities, contribute to the professional development of employees through knowledge transfer, and share findings with stakeholders within their scope.

Ideally with a BAC +4/+5 degree in purchasing management and at least 5 years of similar experience Deep understanding of food supply chain management principles Knowledge of quality, safety, and compliance standards applicable to supply chain management.
