Automation Design Technician (M/F)
Your tasks
You will be at the heart of innovation to propose and invent solutions and improvements as part of the development of our future machines or future upgrades.
You will respond to requests from the customer service, production, or workshop departments as Level 2 support regarding already industrialized programs; in this context, industrialization documentation such as functional analysis and technical topographies, as well as training, must be provided to ensure a transfer of skills for these new functionalities. As an expert, occasional travel to client sites or remote support may be required to validate or troubleshoot a machine.
Constantly monitoring new technologies and supplier innovations, you will proactively propose development and improvement axes. You will challenge existing tools and methods, contribute to hardware orientation, propose key patents, and organize benchmarks to identify the best technical solutions.
As a technical referent and project sponsor, you will actively participate in product design and development. You will work closely with project teams on functional and risk analyses, taking into account defined guidelines and priorities. You will develop software in accordance with functional needs, guide mechanical design to obtain coherent, integrated mechatronic systems, and contribute to work related to Industry 4.0 (traceability, diagnostics, prediction, machine intelligence).
You will work on the design of intelligent algorithms, up to artificial intelligence, ensuring quality compliant with project requirements. You will define test scenarios, perform trials under real conditions (prototype, local station, PLC, client), interpret results, and correct any anomalies. You will organize design reviews and share technical best practices.
During the industrialization phase, you will write technical and functional documentation, train your colleagues on new functions/technologies, and support skill development. In connection with the workshops and field teams, you will commission the machines, set them up, validate production, and provide support for remote troubleshooting or on-site at the client if necessary.
