Lab Manager

Job Title: Laboratory Manager Location: [79 Ayer Rajah Crescent / On-site] Reports To: [ Principal Investigator] Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Laboratory Manager to oversee the daily operations of our clinical and R&D laboratory. With 4 to 5 years of hands-on laboratory experience, you will serve as the central operational leader, ensuring that experiments, testing, and research are conducted safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will manage laboratory staff, maintain critical equipment, oversee inventory, and ensure strict compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines. Key Responsibilities Operations & Workflow Management Direct and coordinate daily laboratory operations, ensuring workflows are efficient and project deadlines are consistently met.

Develop, optimize, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all laboratory processes.

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and external vendors regarding lab operations and troubleshooting.

Manage the laboratory budget, track expenditures, and forecast future resource requirements.

Safety, Quality & Compliance Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, including [insert relevant standards: OSHA, GLP, ISO 17025, CLIA, etc.].

Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Oversee the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and chemical waste.

Equipment & Inventory Management Oversee the procurement, calibration, maintenance, and repair of all laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

Negotiate with scientific vendors and suppliers to secure cost-effective pricing and service contracts.

Team Leadership & Development Supervise, train, and mentor a team of [Insert Number] laboratory technicians, analysts, and junior staff.

Conduct performance evaluations, manage scheduling, and facilitate ongoing professional development for lab personnel.
