The Human Resource Officer oversees the implementation and continuous improvement of Human Resources functions, ensuring effective HR operations, a positive employee experience, and compliance with company policies and Philippine labor regulations. This role supervises HR Associates, handles sensitive employee matters, coordinates with management and external partners, and recommends improvements to HR processes, policies, and programs.

HR Operations and Administration

Oversee daily HR operations and supervise HR team members.

Ensure accurate employee records, documentation, attendance, and leave administration.

Coordinate payroll-related concerns and employee benefits.

Review HR reports and recommend process improvements.

Employee Relations and Compliance

Handle employee grievances, disciplinary cases, and other sensitive HR matters.

Ensure proper documentation and compliance with company policies and labor regulations.

Coordinate employee cases with management and legal counsel when necessary.

Assist in reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

Recruitment and Onboarding

Conduct interviews and provide candidate assessment recommendations.

Oversee hiring, employment documentation, and onboarding processes.

Recommend improvements to recruitment and onboarding practices.

Learning and Development

Coordinate employee training and development initiatives.

Identify training needs and recommend relevant programs.

Support employee development and performance improvement initiatives.

Employee Engagement and Retention

Develop initiatives that promote employee engagement, recognition, and retention.

Monitor employee feedback and workforce trends.

Support the planning and implementation of company activities.

Compensation, Benefits, and Offboarding

Oversee employee benefits administration and coordinate with external providers.

Ensure compliance with government-mandated benefits and applicable regulations.

Supervise employee separation, clearance, and related documentation.

Organizational Development

Support workforce planning and organizational development initiatives.

Coordinate employee movement documentation and organizational records.

Provide HR recommendations to management to support business objectives.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: At least 2–5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources, preferably with experience handling employee relations, labor relations, HR operations, and compliance. Experience supervising or coordinating the work of HR team members is an advantage.

Knowledge and Skills: Working knowledge of Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, and government-mandated employee benefits. Knowledge of HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning and development, and offboarding. Experience handling employee grievances, disciplinary cases, Notice to Explain (NTE) issuances, and proper documentation of administrative cases. Familiarity with payroll coordination, attendance monitoring, leave administration, and employee records management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly spreadsheets and presentation tools. Familiarity with HRIS platforms, recruitment systems, and project management tools is an advantage. Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
