Business Controller – Research & Development
We are looking for an experienced and business-oriented Business Controller for a dynamic R&D operation. In this role, you will become an important partner to the business and contribute to effective processes for financial management, planning, and follow-up.
The operation is in a period of change where working methods, systems, and roles are evolving. As a Business Controller, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of future models for financial management while working closely with management and other central functions in an international environment.
About the role
The role involves broad responsibility within finance and controlling, where you will, among other things, work with:
Financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Active follow-up and influence on development costs.
Monthly closing, financial analysis, and reporting.
Follow-up of KPI as well as analysis and presentation of results.
Identify deviations, risks, and opportunities, as well as contribute to relevant actions.
Support the business management with financial analyses and decision-making support.
Contribute to strategic decisions by translating financial information into business-driven insights.
Work closely with different functions and management groups within the operation.
Contribute to the development and implementation of future processes, systems, and working methods within controlling.
You will report to the responsible manager within R&D Controlling and provide dedicated support to two business areas. The role involves close collaboration with both management groups and a wide network of controllers and other functions.

You are an experienced Business Controller with a strong business interest and thrive in an environment where operations, finance, and development meet.
You work in a structured and analytical manner, have a solution-oriented approach, and enjoy driving issues forward even in complex and changing environments.
To succeed in the role, we would prefer that you have:
A Master's degree in finance, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in Business Controlling or equivalent qualified controlling work.
Documented experience in driving business results through a structured, analytical, and results-oriented working method.
Strong business understanding and the ability to understand the business's financial drivers.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial follow-up, and reporting.
Experience working closely with senior decision-makers and management groups.
The ability to build trusting relationships and influence decisions even outside the finance function.
Very good analytical ability and experience working with complex information.
Very good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
Experience with SAP is a strong merit.
Very good communicative and social skills.
High integrity and a genuine interest in understanding products, operations, and business-driving factors.
Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.
Knowledge of Swedish is a strong merit.
About the team
You will become part of a dedicated team consisting of four Business Controllers and one manager. The team works closely with the operation and supports development within technology, electronics, and software.
In addition to the immediate team, you will have a wide contact network within R&D Controlling and other controlling functions.
The role offers the opportunity to work in an international and cross-functional environment with close contact with both the operation and management.
