R&D Polymer Formulation Laboratory Technician (M/F)

Job Description:

Your main mission will be to actively participate in the advancement of innovative research projects by working on the formulation and processing of technical plastics, known as thermoplastic polymers. On a daily basis, at the heart of the workshop, you will be responsible for conducting practical testing campaigns. You will implement these new materials using industrial shaping processes such as extrusion or injection molding, which are techniques used to melt and mold material to give it a specific shape. Beyond this creation stage, you may also be required to participate in the analysis and characterization of these plastics to evaluate their mechanical properties, heat resistance, or flow behavior. You will work under the responsibility of the laboratory management, in a stimulating environment where your rigor will contribute directly to the department's success.

Profile Description:

To thrive and succeed in this position, you ideally hold a degree at the bac+2 or bac+3 level, such as a BTS, BUT, or Licence professionnelle, with a specialization in plasturgie or materials science. You possess solid practical skills in the handling and processing of plastic materials, with mastery of extrusion and injection processes being a major asset to become quickly autonomous. In order to ensure the monitoring of your experiments and the writing of your reports, good proficiency with common IT tools, particularly the Microsoft Office suite, is required. Furthermore, understanding written English is absolutely indispensable to easily read the various technical documentations related to your research projects.
