Automation Engineer (M/F)

Job Description:

You will join the Electricity and Automation design office to design the machines of tomorrow, while ensuring constant technological monitoring. In permanent interaction with the various departments of the company (calculations, prototyping, testing), you will take charge of the in-depth study of customer specifications in order to derive precise functional analyses and define hardware and software requirements. Your mission encompasses the assembly of existing functions, the programming of cutting-edge PLCs (B&R, Rockwell, Siemens) and the complete management of supervision. As a true technical conductor, you will validate solutions, resolve functional challenges, and successfully carry out the installation as well as the testing of machines on-site. Your responsibilities also extend to writing technical documentation, enriching standard program libraries, as well as training and assisting customers, both in France and internationally, thereby guaranteeing optimal handling of production lines.

Profile Description:

Coming from a higher technical education, you have significant and proven experience in automation, ideally acquired in the development of special purpose machines. You are proficient in the programming, troubleshooting, and optimization of PLCs (Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell), as well as supervision tools (WinCC, FactoryTalk, Vijeo Designer, Wonderware) and the creation of ergonomic HMI interfaces. An excellent understanding of industrial robotics (Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, Yaskawa) and the specific requirements of custom machines, such as speed, precision, and safety, is indispensable for this role. Comfortable with standard languages (Ladder, ST, C/C++) and the writing of technical manuals, you must imperatively have a fluent level of English to ensure smooth customer relations during your travels abroad, which will represent approximately twenty percent of your time.
