Composite Structural Calculation Engineer (M/F)

Job Description:

You conduct simulations and/or analytical calculations on naval structures.

You work on composite structures.

You perform structural calculations, mostly carried out with finite element software.

Mastery of analytical calculations is indispensable.

You mesh structures from drawings or CAD using SIMCENTER/NX 2024 and ABAQUS / CAE software.

You implement calculations in the naval domain: fatigue, buckling, and shock, on steel or composite structures with ABAQUS and NASTRAN NX10.

You write the associated calculation notes.

You act as the interface between internal teams and external subcontractors.

You collect input data (CAD) with the designers.

You perform verification of work done by subcontractors (sending data): CAD and changes to it.

You perform meshing and verification of bolting/fastenings.

This position, based in LORIENT, is available as part of a 6-month mission.

The gross annual remuneration is 40,000 € euros, to be negotiated according to your experience.

Profile Description:

You have a generalist Engineer profile with a focus on mechanics and/or composite calculations.

Ideally, you have initial experience in the field of naval structural calculation.

Mastery of finite element methodology in structural statics, RdM (Strength of Materials), and programming is indispensable.

Knowledge of software such as ABAQUS, ANSYS, or NASTRAN is required.

You demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and technical curiosity to succeed in your missions.

You have a good level of English, required for export projects handled within the department.
