Overview

We are working with a leading proprietary trading firm that is seeking to hire an experienced HFT trader to join a growing team focused on NSE options trading.

The firm operates systematic strategies across multiple asset classes and is investing heavily in its next generation of high-frequency trading infrastructure. This role provides the opportunity to work at the forefront of Indian options markets while collaborating directly with trading, research, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Research, develop, and deploy high-frequency trading strategies across NSE options

Contribute to the development and calibration of the firm's HFT trading platform

Partner with engineering teams to improve execution quality, market data handling, and latency

Optimise strategy performance through continuous monitoring and refinement

Build scalable frameworks and strategy libraries that can support expansion into additional products and markets

Apply market microstructure insights to enhance execution and trading outcomes

Requirements

Demonstrated experience developing and deploying HFT strategies within second-to-millisecond time horizons

Deep understanding of Indian options markets and NSE market microstructure

Strong knowledge of options pricing, order book dynamics, liquidity behaviour, and flow toxicity

Experience with execution optimisation, including queue positioning and adverse selection analysis

Strong risk management and position management capabilities

Programming ability in Python, C++, Rust, or similar languages

Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with researchers and engineers
