Plan and deliver engaging and meaningful Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons for Middle and High School students (Grades 7–12).
Develop and implement lessons aligned with the curriculum, while integrating Islamic teachings, values, and principles.
Facilitate age-appropriate discussions that encourage students to think critically, reflect, ask questions, and connect Islamic teachings to real-life situations.
Teach key areas of Islamic studies, including Qur’an, Islamic beliefs and practices, Islamic history, ethics, morality, and contemporary issues from an Islamic perspective.
Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable exploring questions about faith, values, identity, and morality.
Support students in developing strong character, ethical awareness, personal responsibility, and spiritual growth.
Assess and monitor student learning through meaningful assignments, projects, discussions, and other appropriate assessment methods.
Provide constructive feedback that supports both students’ academic development and personal growth.
Serve as a positive role model and mentor for students during their adolescent years.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support students’ academic, social, emotional, and character development.
Participate in school events, Islamic celebrations, religious activities, student programs, and other school initiatives as required.
Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues regarding students’ progress and development.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Islamic Education, Islamic Studies, Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field.
Minimum 3 year of relevant teaching experience, preferably teaching Middle and/or High School students.
Strong knowledge and understanding of Islamic teachings, Qur’an, Islamic history, Islamic ethics, and contemporary Islamic issues.
Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good proficiency in English is preferred.
Passionate about supporting students’ spiritual, intellectual, moral, and personal development.
Able to facilitate thoughtful and respectful discussions on faith, values, ethics, and contemporary issues.
Practicing Muslim with a strong understanding of Islamic beliefs and traditions.
A collaborative team player who is also capable of working independently.
Teaching certification or relevant professional training is an advantage.
