Responsibilities and assignments Your day-to-day will be...

• Work together with our environment team, suggesting new technologies or even adjustments to the current platform
• Focus on performance and stability of the entire solution in production
• Participate in the creation of new environments for new solutions
• Analyze the current platform to suggest new approaches that bring gains in performance, stability, or cost
• Constant analysis for possible cost reductions of Segware's solutions

Experience and Technical Knowledge ✅ Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Mastery of Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning.
• Experience with reusable modules and versioning best practices.

✅ Kubernetes and Container Orchestration

• Advanced management of Kubernetes (EKS, OVH).
• Mastery of Helm Charts, Kustomize, Kubernetes Federation, or Karmada.
• Experience with policy enforcement (OPA/Gatekeeper).

✅ Cloud Computing

• Mastery of AWS, OVH.
• Practice with services such as EC2, RDS, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, and cost management.
• Experience with Auto Scaling Groups (ASG), Spot Instances, and Load Balancers.

✅ Observability (Monitoring, Logging, Tracing)

• Configuration and management of Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Loki.
• Experience with distributed tracing (Jaeger or OpenTelemetry).
• Creation of efficient alerts for SLOs and SLAs.

✅ Pipelines and Automation (CI/CD)

• Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins.
• Configuration of deploys for EKS, Swarm, VMs.
• Knowledge of progressive delivery (Canary, Blue-Green, Feature Flags).

✅ Configuration Management

• Mastery of Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience with Secrets Management (AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault).

✅ Networking and Security

• Experience with VPC, VPN, Security Groups, Firewalls, WAF.
• Hardening of Kubernetes, RBAC configuration, and access control (IAM).
• Knowledge of mTLS, OIDC, OAuth2, JWT, or SSO.

✅ Database and Storage

• Experience with RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora) and NoSQL (MongoDB and Redis).
• Management of backups, replication, failover.
• Performance troubleshooting (analysis of slow queries, locks, deadlocks).

✅ Shell Scripting and Automation Languages

• Mastery of Bash, Python, Go, or Ruby.
• Experience with REST API, Webhooks, JSON/YAML for automation.

• Identify failure points in the infrastructure and propose improvements.
• Ability to anticipate problems and implement solutions before they affect production.

✅ Problem Solving and Troubleshooting

• Ability to investigate logs, metrics, and traces efficiently.
• Experience with war rooms, incidents, and post-mortems.

✅ Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Culture

• Definition of SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.
• Chaos Engineering practices (Gremlin, LitmusChaos).
• Automation of tasks to reduce toil (repetitive manual work).

✅ Teamwork and Communication

• Good communication with development, security, and infrastructure teams.
• Ability to document processes.
• Active participation in incidents, proposing solutions and improvements.

Necessary Experience

• Minimum of 6-8 years working in SRE/DevOps.
• Experience with complex environments, high availability, large workloads.
• History of participation in infrastructure migrations, cost and performance optimization.
• Experience leading automation projects, architecture, or improvements in production systems.
• Technical English for reading

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL and MongoDB)
