Segula Technologies - Purchasing Manager (M/F)
We are looking for a Senior Buyer - Electronic & Naval Systems / Defense for one of our clients operating in the Defense sector.
About the position Within our purchasing department, you will take global responsibility for a strategic portfolio focused on embedded electronics and cutting-edge systems. You will operate across three major sub-families:
- Display Systems: Screens, cameras, and display systems.
- Communication Systems: Radios, radars, antennas, and associated equipment.
- Detection and Navigation Systems: GPS, detection systems, and navigation solutions.
You will manage a panel of suppliers primarily based in France (including major industrial players such as Thales or KNDS), with significant stakes related to export projects.
Your missions A position strongly oriented towards projects (60 to 70% of your activity) and tenders / RFQ (10 to 30%), your responsibilities cover the entire purchasing cycle:
- Pre-sales & Costing: Actively participate in costing and the construction of commercial offers during tender responses.
- Consultation Management: Drive RFQs (Request for Quotation) and manage tenders from A to Z.
- Negotiation & Management: Negotiate contractual and economic conditions, manage financial performance, and monitor supplier commitments.
- Panel Development: Contribute to the global purchasing strategy and evolve the panel of industrial partners.
- Export Projects: Provide support for international projects involving your purchasing sub-families.
- A strategic position at the heart of high-tech industrial projects.

- Perspectives for direct participation in major international stakes.
Experience and training:
- You have proven experience of at least 7 to 8 years in technical purchasing, ideally 10 years or more.
- You possess strong skills in negotiation, supplier management, and managing complex tenders.
- Experience in electronic purchasing or in the context of large export projects is a major asset.
- A sufficient technical background or culture is necessary to quickly grasp product specificities and their industrial constraints.
Linguistic skills & mandatory prerequisites:
- Fluent English (Minimum B2 level): Required to manage export topics and communicate with international partners.
- Eligible for secret/defense clearance.
