Shape the future of mobility with us. And your own. SEG Automotive combines the strength of a global player with the short decision-making paths and culture of a medium-sized company. We offer you a fulfilling, demanding, and future-proof workplace: With us, you can make a contribution to society - and at the same time have diverse opportunities for personal and international development. Become part of our intercultural team of over 6,000 employees in 14 countries. This is how you exert influence - on the automotive industry and your own career.

How your future with us is shaped

Together with experts from various domains (e.g., model-based control, complex drives, intelligent sensors, hardware development, customers, and third-party software suppliers), you will develop outstanding solutions for the safe operation of next-generation electric drives. Your area of design and responsibility extends along the ASPICE process across the SWE.1-SWE.5 domains, in which you develop, secure, and bring to series production both technical and high-quality solutions. You specify the software requirements and are responsible for the detailed architecture including interfaces of AUTOSAR-based product software for complex E-drives used in hybrid and electric vehicles. Based on the requirements & architecture, you derive the software concept, implement the function implementation in Embedded C and/or Matlab Simulink, validate the development scope via unit testing, integrate the function into the overall software, and finally take over the functional validation of the functionality at SIL/HIL and function test benches. You have the opportunity to contribute your expertise in dealing with Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Cyber-Security (ISO 21434), as well as SW quality assurance (MISRA, CERT-C) in product and software development. During problem analysis, you are the central contact person for your area of responsibility and drive both the analysis and integration of solutions within the product groups.

What you bring for a future with us

You have a completed degree in the field of electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, computer science, physics, or a comparable discipline. You possess good physical knowledge of electric machines, power electronics, and control engineering as well as their software implementation. Many years of experience in the software development of innovative mechatronic products with relevant experience in software specification, the development of innovative software architecture concepts, as well as their model-based/manually coded implementation and testing, distinguish you. You have relevant experience in the implementation of software safety concepts on product software and microcontroller levels according to ISO 26262. You bring sound knowledge in the programming of microcontrollers in Embedded C and/or Matlab Simulink. You are confident and solid in handling common development and validation tools such as PTC Integrity, Enterprise Architect, Visual Studio, GIT, DaVinci Developer/Configurator, CANoe, UDE Debugger, EB Tresos, BTC Embedded Tester, VectorCast, Polyspace, dSpace, Jenkins. An independent, structured, and analytical way of working in an international team distinguishes you. Very good written and spoken English skills are required; good German skills are desirable.
