Your tasks

As a patrolling security guard, your primary task is to deliver security out at our customers' sites – primarily at industries, offices, and workshops – by protecting property and buildings against fire, theft, and damage. Usually, it is you who manages the alarm systems and reports using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and often perceived as free, but with great responsibility.

As a stationary security guard, your primary task is to deliver security to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring that everything is in order. Often you work at the entrance to a larger company and check those passing in and out, but you can also perform patrolling and camera surveillance. The tasks vary from customer to customer. One works independently and under their own responsibility.

The positions are suitable for you who like to work with people and help them in their everyday lives. As a security guard at our office in Märsta, you will become part of a tight-knit team of 30-50 people . The tasks are highly varied and as a security guard you can work both indoors and outdoors, night or day. The length of the work shifts varies, but are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. Since we are an operation that is running all days of the year, it is common to work every other weekend.

Requirements

• Approved grades in Swedish from the first year of high school
• Good knowledge of English
• B-driver's license

Meritorious if you

• have worked with similar tasks previously
• have a civilian or military security guard training

As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, calm, and organized and can handle periodically high work paces. You are interested in technology and find it easy to understand instructions. We see that you who are applying are an independent person and trust your own ability, quickly understand problems and solve them in a creative way. You have a systematic and meticulous approach with an eye for detail. Great importance will be placed on your personal suitability for the position.

For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have approved grades from high school in Swedish and English and are approved by Länsstyrelsen for employment in an authorized security company according to Lag (1974:191) om bevakningsföretag (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to Säkerhetsskyddslag (2018:585) may also become relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, as well as any vulnerabilities. Information obtained may, for example, come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when testing suitability for the respective position.
