Do you want to help make a difference? If you are not already a trained security guard, Securitas will cover the cost of your training prior to employment. As a patrolling security guard, your primary task is to deliver security out at our customers' locations – primarily at industries, offices, and workshops – by protecting property and buildings against fire, theft, and damage. Typically, it is you who manages the alarm systems and reports using a computerized patrol information system. The work is independent and often perceived as free, but with great responsibility. As a stationary security guard, your primary task is to deliver security to one of our customers by being attentive and ensuring that everything is in order. Often you work at the entrance to a larger company and control those passing in and out, but you can also perform patrols and camera surveillance. The tasks vary from customer to customer. One works independently and under one's own responsibility. The positions suit you who like to work with people and help them in their everyday lives. As a security guard at our office in Norrköping, you will become part of a tight-knit team. The tasks are highly varied, and as a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, night or day. The length of the shifts varies, but they are often 12-hour shifts either day or night. Since we are an operation that is running every day of the year, working every other weekend is common. For employment within Securitas Sverige AB, it is required that you have passing grades from the first year of gymnasium in Swedish and are approved by Länsstyrelsen for employment in an authorized security company according to Lag (1974:191) om bevakningsföretag (the application is made by Securitas). Depending on the position, security clearance according to Säkerhetsskyddslag (2018:585) may also become relevant. To investigate and assess whether you meet the requirements to be approved according to the respective legislation, a background check is conducted. The assessment concerns law-abidingness, suitability, reliability, loyalty, as well as any vulnerabilities. Information collected may, for example, come from yourself, open sources, or authorities. We apply a holistic assessment when testing suitability for the respective position.
