General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d)

For our Finance team, we are looking for a responsible General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date.

Job Description

• Posting of all business transactions in the general ledger according to HGB and GoB
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Carrying out account reconciliations as well as balance sheet and P&L analyses
• Valuation of business transactions taking into account cost centers and cost carriers
• Ensuring data quality, financial integrity, and monitoring of transactions
• Support during internal and external audits as well as preparation of statistical reports
• Development and implementation of financial policies and optimization of processes
• Close cooperation with interfaces, participation in projects, and onboarding of new employees

Qualifications

• Completed commercial training with a focus on accounting/finance
• At least 4 years of professional experience in financial accounting
• Sound knowledge of commercial law (HGB)
• Confident handling of common accounting systems (e.g., SAP, DATEV)
• Very good Excel skills and routine use of MS Office
• Strong analytical skills and affinity for numbers
• Experience in financial statement preparation and reporting
• Good English skills (at least B2) in spoken and written form
