Hand Surgeon

Your tasks

We are seeking an experienced hand surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. The role involves providing specialized surgical and clinical care for conditions affecting the hand, wrist, forearm, and upper extremity.

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of hand, wrist, and upper-extremity conditions.
• Perform complex hand and upper-extremity surgical procedures.
• Manage traumatic injuries, fractures, tendon and nerve injuries, and ligament disorders.
• Perform reconstructive and microsurgical procedures where applicable.
• Treat carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, nerve compression, and other hand conditions.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up.
• Coordinate with physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, radiologists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and follow patient safety and quality standards.

Requirements

Candidates with UK CCT, Western qualified, American board, Australian board, and South African board qualifications are preferred.

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical qualification.
• Postgraduate qualification in orthopaedic surgery, plastic surgery, or equivalent, with advanced fellowship/training in hand surgery.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
• Strong experience in hand, wrist, and upper-extremity surgery.
• Experience in trauma, reconstruction, tendon and nerve repair is preferred.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
