Job summary

A leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced consultant gastrointestinal & endocrine surgeon to provide advanced surgical care for complex gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and endocrine surgical conditions within a tertiary-care environment.

Key duties

Diagnose and surgically manage complex gastrointestinal and endocrine conditions.

Perform elective and emergency gastrointestinal and endocrine procedures.

Manage upper GI, colorectal, hepatobiliary and endocrine surgical cases according to clinical privileges.

Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative management.

Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and complex case discussions.

Supervise residents, fellows and junior surgical staff.

Participate in clinical teaching, research, audits and quality improvement.

Contribute to development of surgical protocols and service improvement.

Requirements

Medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery / Gastrointestinal Surgery / Endocrine Surgery.

Consultant-level experience with relevant subspecialty expertise.

UK CCT, Western Qualification, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board.

Minimum 3 years' post-board/fellowship consultant experience preferred; current Saudi consultant vacancies commonly specify this level of experience.

Tertiary-care hospital experience preferred.

Eligible for Consultant classification with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

Valid DataFlow/primary-source verification as required.

Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
