IT Application Engineer (Semiconductor)

Responsibilities: Install, configure, deploy and maintain modelling, simulation and scientific software applications across Linux-based HPC environments. Optimise cluster configurations and computing resources to improve application performance, scalability and processing efficiency. Manage reliable and secure HPC workloads within cloud environments, ensuring appropriate capacity, availability and cost optimisation. Partner with data scientists and engineers to deploy and support scalable simulation, modelling and AI workloads. Manage commercial software licences and work with infrastructure teams on connectivity and integration with licence servers and related technologies. Apply network and cloud security best practices while monitoring and automating cluster operations, including Slurm workload management Provide technical guidance, maintain system documentation and drive improvements through emerging HPC, cloud and R&D application technologies.
