Director of Nursing

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership for the nursing division and contribute to hospital-wide planning, policies and operational decision-making as part of the Executive Management Team.
• Ensure consistently high standards of nursing care, patient safety and service excellence across all clinical units, including critical care, operating theatres, maternity and inpatient wards.
• Lead, develop and motivate the nursing workforce through training, career development, succession planning and partnerships with nursing education institutions.
• Lead infection prevention and control programmes to minimise healthcare-associated risks and protect patients, staff and visitors.
• Oversee nursing operations, manpower, departmental budgets, equipment procurement, maintenance and resource allocation to achieve effective and cost-efficient services.
• Maintain nursing policies, clinical standards, documentation and practices in accordance with statutory, Ministry of Health, health and safety, and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with medical leadership, doctors, internal departments and external stakeholders while managing patient/doctor feedback and driving continuous improvement in hospital services.

Requirements:

• Tertiary Nursing/ Management qualification
• At least 15 years in hospital environment
• Singapore NursingBoard Registered Nurse
