Your tasks
They are looking for a Automation focused QA Engineer to join their Newcastle team, working on sophisticated trading platforms and helping to drive quality, automation and technical excellence across the business.
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring complex trading platforms are delivered into production safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Working closely with Software Engineers, Quantitative Analysts and Infrastructure teams, you'll take ownership of automation projects, develop and improve testing processes, and help engineer innovative tools and solutions.
This is an opportunity to work in a highly technical, fast-paced environment where your ideas will be valued and you'll have the freedom to challenge existing processes, introduce improvements and drive quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Commercial experience with at least one programming language such as C#, Java or Python
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or Cucumber
- Strong understanding of software testing principles and automation best practices
- Ability to take ownership of technical projects and improve existing testing processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to delivering solutions
- Strong communication skills and confidence collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Enthusiasm for technology, continuous learning and innovation
- Minimum 2:1 degree in a STEM-related subject, alongside strong A Levels or international equivalents
