🤝 Youth Worker

• Salary: $20/hour (Approx. $2,080/month)
• Contract: 10 months (January 2027 – October 2027)
• Working Hours: Tuesday to Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch break (The total estimated contract hours are: 936 hours)
• Working Days: Tuesday to Thursday; no service on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

💼 Job Responsibilities

• Provide youth support, engagement and intervention services.
• Assess individual needs and develop appropriate support plans.
• Develop and deliver youth programmes based on participants’ needs and interests.
• Facilitate group activities, support groups and engagement programmes.
• Work with relevant stakeholders to support youth development.
• Monitor and evaluate programmes and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
• Manage multiple cases, programmes and competing priorities.
• Provide support during activities and programmes as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

📋 Requirements

• Diploma in Social Work, Youth Work or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant social or youth work experience.
• Experience in developing and delivering youth programmes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and programme management skills.
• Ability to assess needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
• Good judgement, discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential matters.
• Organised, adaptable and able to work effectively with different stakeholders.
