πŸ’™ Student Well-being Support Officer x1

  • Salary: $18–$20/hour (Approx. $2,925–$3,250/month)
  • πŸ“… Contract: 1 year (Jan–Dec 2027), with option to extend for another 12 months
  • πŸ• Working Hours: Mon–Fri, 7:15am–2:45pm, inclusive of 1-hour lunch (approx. 37.5 hours/week)
  • 🚫 No work on Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays & School Holidays, unless required by the school

πŸ“Œ Job Responsibilities

  • Provide pastoral and emotional support to students experiencing distress or behavioural challenges.
  • Build positive relationships and promote emotional regulation, resilience and positive coping.
  • Identify and monitor students who may require additional support.
  • Conduct regular check-ins and maintain confidential case records.
  • Respond to emotional or behavioural incidents and provide appropriate de-escalation support.
  • Support social-emotional learning, peer support and early intervention programmes.
  • Communicate with parents/guardians and coordinate with relevant stakeholders where required.
  • Provide additional support outside regular hours when required, with applicable overtime paid at the hourly rate.

  • Minimum Diploma in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Education or related discipline.
  • At least 2 years' experience in student well-being, pastoral care, behavioural support, counselling or mentoring.
  • Strong empathy, communication, interpersonal and active listening skills.
  • Able to build rapport with primary school-aged students.
  • Calm, patient and composed when handling challenging situations.
  • Basic conflict resolution and behaviour management skills.
  • Good judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality.
