🏫📚 Student Support Assistant (Sembawang) – Primary School 🎒🧒👧

Your tasks

• Conduct regular walkabouts and supervise designated areas to support student behaviour management.
• Supervise students during assigned disciplinary and corrective activities, including detention, reflection sessions and community service.
• Assist with incident management by conducting preliminary conversations with students and compiling relevant records.
• Support school events and student development programmes as required.
• Maintain professional boundaries while adopting a firm, patient and supportive approach when engaging with students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 GCE ‘O’ Level passes, including English, a full Nitec qualification or equivalent.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain firm but patient boundaries with students.
• Preferably at least 1 year of experience in student engagement and behaviour management, particularly in a primary school setting.
• Applicants with previous police service experience or relevant National Service experience are welcome to apply.
• Able to work professionally with students and support a safe and orderly school environment.

What we offer

• Salary: $15–$17/hour (approximately $2,254–$2,554/month)
• 📅 Contract Duration: 1 year, with 11 months of actual service
• 🗓️ Contract Period: 1 January 2027 – 31 December 2027
• Actual deployment ends in November 2027; no service is required in December.
• ⏰ Working Hours:
• Monday & Tuesday: 7:10am–3:00pm
• Wednesday: 7:10am–1:30pm
• Thursday & Friday: 7:10am–4:00pm

📆 Working Days: Monday–Friday 🚫 Service Exclusions: Weekends, gazetted public holidays, public holidays off-in-lieu and school holidays in March, June, September and December. Service is also not required on designated school administrative, examination and programme days.
