🍴 Food Lab Assistant

$12/hour 📅 1-Year Contract | Jan–Dec 2027 🔄 Option to extend for another year

📌 Requirements

• Minimum Primary 6 education.
• Able to converse and write in English.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of food ingredients and preparation.
• At least 1 year of relevant food preparation experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene Course is preferred.
• School or commercial kitchen experience is an advantage.

🧑‍🍳 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare food ingredients and support practical lessons.
• Assist teachers and students during practical sessions.
• Ensure proper food handling and cleanliness of equipment and laboratories.
• Manage ingredient orders, inventory and stock records.
• Check and file invoices and track ingredient costs.
• Perform other duties related to the food laboratory as assigned.

🕐 Working Hours

Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:30pm (inclusive of 30-min lunch break) Friday: 7:30am–1:30pm (no lunch break)

🚫 No service required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.

📍 Start Date: January 2027 📍 End Date: December 2027
