To meet an increased development phase of our company, particularly in the defense sectors which represent significant stakes today, SEABER is looking as soon as possible for a Product Manager dedicated to our AUV range for defense applications.

Your missions

Reporting to the General Management and working in close connection with our Defense Program Director, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Carrying the product vision for our AUV range for defense use: gathering customer needs, competitive intelligence, defining and arbitrating range evolutions.
  • Writing product specifications and functional specifications, in connection with the Technical Department and the Sales Department.
  • Coordinating the product projects entrusted to you: planning, budget, animation of contributing teams, monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensuring the technical relationship with our state and industrial clients: presentations, sea demonstrations, feedback, and monitoring of evolution requests.
  • Managing our suppliers and subcontractors: selection, consultation, contracting, monitoring of milestones, quality, and deadlines.
  • Conducting the qualification of the product range: establishing the qualification plan, test campaigns, compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and compiling the associated documentation package.
  • Responding to calls for tenders with the sales team and the Defense Program Director: analysis of requirements, construction of the technical response, costing, and argumentation.

Your skills

Above all, you are organized, pragmatic, and motivated by SEABER's entrepreneurial project. You enjoy responsibility and want your work to have a real impact.

You have an Engineering degree or equivalent Master's degree (Bac+5), and can demonstrate significant experience in a position with equivalent responsibilities (product manager, project manager, program manager) involving robotic systems or complex industrial equipment.

You have proven skills in robotics: you understand the architecture of a mobile robotic system and are able to discuss technical choices with our teams. You also have skills in mechatronics and know how to read mechanical and electronic plans to find the information you need.

Ideally, you have skills in underwater acoustics and have knowledge of the constraints and requirements related to products operating in a marine environment.

You master project management tools and methods (planning, risk management, budget monitoring, project reviews) and know how to meet deadline commitments in a multi-disciplinary environment.

You are comfortable in both client and supplier relationships: you know how to listen to a need, translate it into requirements, negotiate, and report. Knowledge of the defense sector, its actors, and its acquisition processes is a significant asset.

You have an operational technical level of English in writing and speaking, and are comfortable holding a technical discussion in English with a client or a supplier.

And above all, you love pink submarines!
