Producer, Scout Studios
About the company
Here at Scout Motors, we're carrying forward the heritage of one of the most iconic American vehicles in history. A vehicle dating back to 1960. One that forged the path for future generations of rugged SUVs and trucks and will do so once again.
But Scout is more than just a brand, it’s a legacy steeped in a culture of exploration, caretaking, and hard work.
The Scout brand is all about respect. Respect for the past and the future by taking an iconic American brand that hasn’t been around for a while, electrifying it, digitizing it, and loading it with American innovation. Respect for communities by creating a company that stands for its people and its customers. Respect for both work and play, with vehicles that are equally at home at a camp site, a job site, or on a Tuesday commute. And respect for our customers by developing two powertrains that meet their requirements — an all-electric powertrain as well as the Harvester™ range extender powertrain which includes a built-in gas-powered generator with an estimated 500 miles of combined range.
At Scout Motors, we empower our talented, inclusive, and entrepreneurial teams to innovate. What makes a Scout employee? Someone who is a visionary and a leader, who seeks new paths and shares lessons learned. A knowledgeable doer who collaborates across the company to build better. A go-getter with unrivaled passion.
Why Scout Studios Scout Studios is building more than a content team.
We’re creating an internal storytelling studio designed to document the return of an iconic American brand, from the people designing and building our vehicles to the communities, places, and culture surrounding them.
Your tasks
Overview Scout Studios is looking for a Producer to help turn ambitious creative ideas into organized, executable productions.
As an integral function on the Scout Studios team, this role will serve as a critical bridge between creative ambition and production execution, bringing structure, foresight, communication, and accountability to a growing pipeline of original storytelling, product and lifestyle content, and films.
You'll help build the production engine behind that work and shape how Scout Studios operates for years to come.
What you’ll do Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Produce Scout Studios projects from initial brief through production, post-production, and final delivery.
- Partner closely with the creative team of directors, cinematographers, editors, and content creators to translate creative concepts into executable production plans.
- Build and manage production schedules, timelines, call sheets, budgets, crew plans, equipment needs, travel, locations, permitting, talent, releases, insurance, and logistics.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders, external production partners, agencies, freelancers, vendors, and talent.
- Own production communication and ensure teams understand deliverables, deadlines, responsibilities, and changing priorities.
- Identify potential production challenges early and proactively develop solutions.
- Manage multiple productions and workstreams simultaneously without losing sight of details.
- Support location scouting, casting, vehicle coordination, travel planning, and field-production logistics.
- Track project budgets, purchase orders, invoices, vendor agreements, and production expenses.
- Help maintain visibility into the overall Scout Studios production pipeline and resource requirements.
- Partner with post-production teams to ensure assets, schedules, feedback, and deliverables move cleanly from production through completion.
- Help establish scalable production processes, templates, workflows, and standards as Scout Studios grows.
- Build trusted relationships across Brand, Communications, Social, CRM, Events, Product, Design, and other internal teams.
- Be comfortable jumping into the unexpected. Production rarely goes exactly according to plan, and solving those moments is part of the job.
Requirements
The right person is equal parts organizer, problem solver, collaborator, and producer. You understand creative vision, how the work gets made, can anticipate what a production needs before it becomes a problem, and can confidently move between creative teams, internal stakeholders, agencies, vendors, talent, locations, and crews.
This isn't simply a coordination role. We’re looking for someone who has both a creative and organizational eye and can take ownership of productions to allow Scout Studios to operate at a high creative and operational level as the team's output continues to grow.
What you’ll bring We expect all Scout employees to have integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, and strive to exhibit a positive attitude, as well as a growth mindset. You’ll be comfortable with change and flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll take a collaborative approach to achieve ambitious goals. Here's what else you'll bring:
- 8+ years of experience in production, creative production, integrated production, or related field.
- Experience producing commercial, branded, documentary, automotive, lifestyle, editorial, or entertainment content.
- Strong understanding of production workflows from pre-production through post-production.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, schedules, vendors, crews, travel, locations, and deliverables.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Confidence working directly with senior creative leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
- Strong judgment and the ability to make decisions quickly in changing production environments.
- Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Automotive or mobility experience.
- Experience producing documentary or unscripted storytelling.
- Experience with experiential, events, or live production.
- Familiarity with automotive shoots involving picture vehicles, tracking vehicles, specialty rigs, and remote locations.
- Experience helping build or scale an internal creative studio.
- Existing relationships with production companies, crews, vendors, and freelance talent.
You’re someone who has an eye for how to bring creative visions to life through planning and organization.
You enjoy being the person who knows what needs to happen next, who owns the details others may overlook, and who can keep a team moving even when priorities shift quickly.
You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and understand that great production isn't simply logistics, it creates the environment in which great creative work can happen.
You’re equally comfortable planning months ahead and solving a problem from the side of the road during a shoot.
