Job Summary
Manage and maintain a prominent strata-titled shopping centre by overseeing daily building operations, supervising contractors, coordinating refurbishment projects, and ensuring compliance with safety and management standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the daily operations of a strata-titled shopping centre to ensure optimal facility performance
- Supervise, monitor, and document building maintenance and management activities daily to uphold safety and quality standards
- Liaise with and supervise contractors to ensure timely and quality completion of maintenance and refurbishment tasks
- Prepare, conduct, and record minutes for all relevant meetings to facilitate effective communication and decision-making
- Coordinate and oversee building retrofitting and refurbishment projects to enhance facility functionality and compliance
- Respond promptly to work orders issued by management to address facility issues and maintain operational continuity
- Lead and motivate a team of co-workers and contractors to achieve operational goals and maintain high service standards
- Work independently and resourcefully to manage facility operations and resolve issues proactively
Required competencies and certifications
- Fire Safety Manager certification (mandatory for compliance and safety management)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management of commercial buildings to ensure effective operational oversight
- Proficient knowledge of the Building Maintenance and Strata Management Act (BMSMA) to ensure regulatory compliance
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Relevant degree or diploma in property or real estate management to support professional knowledge and skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin to facilitate clear stakeholder engagement
