As a Product Validation Engineer, you will be part of the NPI product development team and contribute to the development of Avionics, Defense & Security and Air Traffic Control systems. During the design and qualification phase, you assess whether the products meet the requirements, standards, and regulations. Correct, reliable, and safe operation is crucial for the market in which the products are used.

Your responsibilities:

  • You translate product requirements into test approaches and test requirements.
  • You create and collaborate on the most optimal test plan to validate product compliancy and reliability during development and product qualification.
  • You create test procedures and test setups with special tooling if necessary.
  • You perform tests primarily in internal test infrastructure. For a portion of the tests that cannot be performed internally, you support the tests in a number of preferred external international test houses. A variety of tests are performed: temperature, vibration, humidity, EMI, power, ...
  • Finally, you prepare the test reports according to internal quality standards and customer expectations.
  • You support the development team in development to meet product requirements and in analyzing and resolving problems in case of product failures or non-conformity.
  • You strive for continuous improvement of verification activities and provide input to the development team.
  • You plan and coordinate test activities in line with the product development plans.
  • You are willing to travel to international test houses.
  • You have obtained a Bachelor or Master in Industrial Sciences Electronics-ICT.
  • You have a strong affinity for product quality and conformity.
  • You enjoy working and collaborating in an international multidisciplinary team.
  • You are committed to contributing to the development of high-end technological products for critical markets.
  • You are a hands-on problemsolver.
  • You have good communication skills and speak fluent English.
  • Knowledge of standards in the fields of environment, EMI and/or electrical power (RTCA-DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810) is a great asset but not a must.
