UX Designer / GOVT

Location: West Job Type: Full-Time Contract (Subjected to renewal/conversion)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end user research and UX design across digital initiatives.
• Conduct user research with members of the public and internal stakeholders to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points.
• Map user journeys and design intuitive interfaces and workflows for complex service and legal processes.
• Apply service design thinking across end-to-end journeys involving multiple touchpoints and stakeholder groups.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma to communicate design solutions effectively.
• Translate complex processes and requirements into simple, accessible, and inclusive digital experiences.
• Work closely with developers to ensure design feasibility and high-quality implementation.
• Use research findings, user feedback, and relevant metrics to continuously improve the user experience.
• Present and explain design recommendations to product, policy, business, and technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in UX design, product design, user research, service design, or related roles.
• Proven experience in user research, synthesis, and UX/product design.
• Strong proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and interface design.
• Strong ability to simplify complex processes into clear and user-friendly digital experiences.
• Experience conducting user interviews, usability testing, journey mapping, and design validation.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design and service design principles.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to translate research insights and data into design decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Portfolio demonstrating thoughtful design work, problem-solving ability, and clear design rationale.
