Production Technician (Biotechnology)
Your tasks
- Operate fermentation, processing, purification, drying, and packing equipment to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Conduct in-process testing and monitor product quality.
- Perform equipment cleaning, sanitisation, inspection, and basic maintenance.
- Monitor production processes and control systems, troubleshoot issues, and support engineers in resolving operational problems.
- Maintain accurate production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory records in compliance with GMP/GDP standards.
- Prepare shift reports and ensure proper handovers between shifts.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness, follow safety procedures, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support equipment commissioning, process validation, and other production-related projects.
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent in food science/technology, biotech/bioengineering, chemical engineering or relevant field of studies with minimum of 5 years of working experience in food manufacturing or related field, experience in fermentation will be a plus
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices
- Knowledge or experience in food safety requirements
- Prior work experience in implementation and maintenance of ISO22000, FSSC22000, BRC or relevant certification is advantageous
