IT Quality & Compliance Auditor

Software Quality – Internal Quality Audit

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Engineer to lead internal quality audits and strengthen compliance across IT projects and operations. You will assess how well processes and controls are followed, report findings clearly, and work with stakeholders to drive corrective actions and continual improvement.

What you’ll do

• Develop and manage the annual internal audit programme.
• Plan and conduct audits across IT projects, operations and support functions.
• Review compliance with QMS requirements, organisational policies, governance controls and applicable standards.
• Assess internal controls, processes and risk management practices.
• Prepare audit reports, recommendations and action plans, then track findings through to effective closure.
• Maintain audit records, schedules, metrics and controlled QMS documentation.
• Support external audits, certification activities, compliance reviews and audit-readiness efforts.
• Advise process owners on audit requirements, quality practices and opportunities to improve.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant experience in internal quality audit, quality management, compliance, governance or process assurance.
• Experience maintaining a QMS and controlled procedures or records.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, audit methods and risk-based auditing.
• Experience supporting certification audits and compliance reviews.
• Familiarity with IT governance, software development lifecycles, change management, service management and operational controls.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Quality Management or a related discipline.

Added advantages

• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification.
• CISA, CQA, ITIL, Six Sigma or a related professional certification.
• Experience in government, public-sector or regulated IT environments.
• Exposure to Agile, DevOps, cloud-native or cloud product development.
• Familiarity with AWS, cloud governance and secure cloud operations.
