Cybersecurity Awareness & Phishing Specialist

Employment Type: Contract (1 year renewable with chances of conversion) Working Hours: Monday - Thursday (8.30am - 6pm), Friday (8.30am - 5.30pm) (Hybrid) Location: One North Salary: Up to $7,500 + AWS We are seeking a creative and analytical Cybersecurity Awareness & Phishing Specialist to support the organisation’s cybersecurity education and awareness initiatives. The role focuses on developing phishing simulation campaigns, analysing employee responses, creating engaging training materials, and conducting workshops and roadshows. The successful candidate should be able to translate complex cybersecurity topics into clear, engaging, and visually appealing content for employees across different functions and technical backgrounds. Key Responsibilities Phishing Simulation and Reporting Develop, design, and execute phishing simulation campaigns to assess employees’ awareness of phishing and social-engineering threats. Create realistic phishing scenarios and educational content based on current cyber threats. Monitor and analyse campaign results, including participation, click-through, reporting, and completion rates. Prepare reports and dashboards highlighting campaign effectiveness, user behaviour trends, risk areas, and recommendations for improvement. Coordinate follow-up education or targeted awareness initiatives for higher-risk employee groups. Cybersecurity Workshops and Roadshows Assist in planning, organising, and conducting cybersecurity workshops, briefings, roadshows, and employee engagement activities. Develop engaging presentations, demonstrations, quizzes, and supporting materials for cybersecurity awareness events. Communicate cybersecurity best practices in a clear and relatable manner to employees from different departments. Gather participant feedback and recommend improvements to future awareness activities. Documentation and Infographics Review, refine, and update cybersecurity-related policies, guides, advisories, and awareness materials. Transform technical or complex security information into clear, concise, and visually appealing infographics. Develop employee communications on topics such as phishing, password security, data protection, social engineering, and emerging cyber threats. Ensure all materials are accurate, current, and aligned with organisational policies and cybersecurity best practices. Security Awareness Training Review and update the organisation’s Security Awareness Module to maintain its relevance and effectiveness. Incorporate emerging threats, organisational incidents, employee feedback, and regulatory requirements into training content. Support the administration and tracking of security awareness training and completion rates. Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements based on employee performance and feedback. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, Design, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience or knowledge in cybersecurity awareness, phishing simulations, employee training, communications, or content development. Good understanding of common cyber threats, including phishing, social engineering, malware, credential theft, and data breaches. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical information for non-technical audiences.
