Billing Executive (Maternity Cover)

Role & Responsibilities

• Work closely with business units to provide billing support and related analysis.
• Handle month-end and year-end billing closures, including accruals.
• Ensure billing activities are completed within stipulated deadlines and tender requirements.
• Liaise with vendors on billing matters, resolve disputes and establish billing guidelines to ensure compliance.
• Review existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Analyse billing data to identify discrepancies, gaps and areas for improvement.
• Monitor outstanding debts and follow up on overdue payments.
• Prepare billing reports and presentation materials for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Business or a related discipline, with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Meticulous, organised and proactive, with good problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Skills & Technical Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accountability.
• Comfortable handling large datasets, operational tasks and tight deadlines.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with AI tools, Power Pivot, Power Query, Tableau or other data tools is advantageous.
• Experience with Workday or similar ERP systems is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of automation tools or scripting, such as Python, VBA or Power Automate, is an added advantage.
