Supplier Manager (m/f/d)

Schulte & Co. GmbH is an international Tier 1 supplier with approximately 1,000 employees. As a development and series supplier for the international automotive industry (focusing on contact parts, energy supply sets, and fuse boxes), we develop and manufacture wiring harnesses and components at four locations in Hemer, Czech Republic, and Tunisia.

To strengthen our purchasing department, we are looking for a committed and qualified

Supplier Manager (m/f/d),

who, with negotiation skills, strategic foresight, and a structured way of working, will actively further develop our supplier relationships, ensure stable procurement processes, and thus contribute significantly to the sustainable success of our company.

Your tasks:

• Operational implementation of quality-relevant processes according to the specifications of the QMH
• Responsible for the approval, evaluation, and support of national and international suppliers, as well as the conclusion of quality assurance and target agreements
• Management and execution of supplier evaluations and risk assessments according to the VDA/RGA model in interdisciplinary teams
• Preparation, execution, and support of supplier audits as well as process approvals at suppliers and participation in other internal and external audits
• Ensuring quality advance planning (APQP/RGA) as well as active participation in product and process approvals and manufacturability assessments
• Continuous monitoring of delivery quality, including the creation of quality reports as well as the request and follow-up of suitable corrective and improvement measures
• Ensuring and further developing the supplier complaint process, evaluation and tracking of 8D-reports using VDA methods
• Analysis and evaluation of Customer Specific Requirements (CSR) with the goal of standard- and customer-compliant implementation within the supply chain
• Creation of delivery specifications for purchased parts in interdisciplinary teams as well as participation in the creation of incoming goods inspection plans and the selection of suitable testing and measurement methods
• Planning, execution, and monitoring of supplier development measures in coordination with QS management, SCM-Procurement, and Project Management

Your profile:

• Completed technical training with relevant further training in quality management or a completed degree, for example in the field of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or quality management
• Several years of professional experience in supplier or quality management, ideally in the automotive supplier industry
• Sound knowledge of the relevant automotive regulations as well as the Automotive Core Tools (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, VDA methods)
• Experience in conducting supplier audits, risk assessments, and process approvals
• Routine handling of MS-Office programs
• Analytical thinking skills as well as a structured and independent way of working
• Assertiveness, negotiation skills, and a professional appearance
• Strong communication skills as well as team and interface orientation
• English skills in spoken and written form as well as occasional willingness to travel
